ARTWalk Public Meeting
Monday, January 29, 2007
7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Rochester Museum &
Science Center, Cunningham House
Sponsored by ARTWalk, The
City of Rochester and
Rochester Regional
Community Design Center
All ARTWalk Stakeholders* are invited to a public
meeting that will focus on the design of the Goodman-University Intersection
where the current ARTWalk and the ARTWalk extensions will intersect.
The Goodman-University Intersection is the nexus
of the Neighborhood of the Arts. The expanded ARTWalk project has the potential
to further strengthen an important civic and cultural district: a destination
of many arts and cultural organizations for RochesterŐs residents and visitors.
Input from Stakeholders -- your
input -- will help to determine how the Goodman-University Intersection
reflects all that the neighborhood is and will be.

meeting. Notes will be recorded so that we have a record of stakeholder ideas
and issues.
The
City of Rochester received Federal funding through the office of the Honorable
Louise M. Slaughter to upgrade University Avenue and to extend ARTWalk. ARTWalk
currently runs along University Avenue from the east side of the
Goodman/University Intersection to the George Eastman House. Funding will
extend ARTWalk on three spurs:
Spur
1. University Avenue from the Goodman-University Intersection west to Prince Street, ending
at Visual Studies Workshop and School of the Arts
Spur
2. Goodman Street from the Goodman-University intersection south to East Avenue, ending
at the Rochester Museum and Science Center
Spur
3. Goodman Street from the Goodman-University intersection north to Village Gate and the
